Hamlet is passionate about creating memorable experiences for their clients while celebrating our beautiful island home of lutruwita/Tasmania.

Hamlet’s team have worked at some of Tasmania’s best restaurants, including Garagistes and Franklin, cultivating a deep understanding of delivering the highest quality of food and customer service.

Hamlet loves to work alongside their clients to develop menus and experiences that will excite their guests and leave a lasting impression. From corporate events, private dinners, weddings and conferences – Hamlet’s team are excited to work with you to curate an event that is both fun and delicious.

Tastes Good: Does Good

Hamlet is a locally founded social enterprise in nipaluna/Hobart, offering private and offsite catering to Southern lutruwita/Tasmania and surrounds. When partnering with Hamlet, you’re not only choosing great tasting, Tasmanian food, but you’re also contributing directly to an organisation that is creating opportunities with every order.

Hamlet chooses to work with local, Tasmanian suppliers to provide high quality produce. The menu heroes fresh, local and seasonal produce, paired with house-made bread and preserves. With their experienced team of chefs, and ongoing relationship to suppliers, Hamlet prides themselves on celebrating all things Tasmanian.

Hamlet was founded in 2016, with a mission to empower people who are underrepresented in the workforce, with a focus on people living with disability. As of June 2024, Hamlet has delivered over 43,000 hours of training to 742 people in the community who are facing significant barriers to employment. This financial year, Hamlet have assisted more than 75% of our graduates to secure employment in the Tasmanian Tourism and Hospitality sector.

Team Volunteering:

Embrace a unique team-building experience and help Hamlet create an impact with every order. In the Hamlet kitchen, you’ll have the opportunity to forge stronger connections with your colleagues while working alongside their skilled chefs and participants, preparing meals for Hobart City Mission’s Safe Night Space program – a 24-hour service for people who are experiencing homelessness.

Want to see the work of Hamlet first-hand? Hamlet Café is located at the entrance of the Hobart Rivulet walking track at 40 Molle Street, nipaluna/Hobart. They have an inviting atmosphere, full of tasty treats and innovative dishes.

As a training café, Hamlet provides a supportive and inclusive workplace through their training program, offering Front of House and Kitchen training streams. Hamlet is providing people opportunity to learn skills and build confidence to improve their chances of securing employment.
