The MyState Bank Arena menus are a culinary work of art, meticulously curated by our esteemed Executive Chef.
Their Executive Chef Oliver Mellers, passion is providing delicious, exciting food, delivering heartfelt and intuitive service, and making your event seem effortless.
Oli started his food journey growing up in the kitchens of his parents’ restaurants and went on to complete his apprenticeship in Hobart before travelling to London to learn traditional French cooking techniques. Once in London he became the Sous chef at Lord’s Cricket Ground as well as studying butchery in Devon, seafood at the famous London Fish Markets and pastry with Thierry Besselievre. Oli went on to work in Michelin-starred restaurants in London and completed his time in London working at Heston Blumenthal’s The Fat Duck.
On his return to Hobart, Oli took the reins at The Henry Jones Art Hotel as Executive Chef, and opened Landscape Restaurant and Grill, which was awarded Tasmania’s best restaurant in the Gourmet Traveller 2018 restaurant guide. We are delighted that Oli has joined our team at MyState Bank Arena.
