Encompassing nearly an entire city block in the centre of Hobart, In The Hanging Garden is a popular live music and cultural precinct with flexible, contemporary spaces, suitable for large groups. The precinct includes the Garden and Cathedral, Odeon Theatre and Altar. The upper-tier garden deck area is available for partial hire Wednesday to Sunday with food vendors and the bar area creating an eclectic, lively ambiance. It is available for private hire on Mondays and Tuesdays. The 18-metre tall structure on the lower-tier with a summer garden fit-out can be hired for private events on any day of the week, excluding Fridays in November and December.
In The Hanging Garden is a cultural precinct in central Hobart. The two-level tiered gardens sit in the centre of the city block, offering diverse and interesting function areas, with beer gardens, bars and kitchens, plus an impressively lit 18-metre-tall cathedral structure sheltering a spacious lawn on the lower level, with a capacity of 600.
The Odeon Theatre has two floors capable of accommodating up to 1,250 people, and has hosted world-class musical artists, film screenings, cocktail parties, keynote presentations, and panel discussions. Altar is a unique venue, accommodating up to 300 people, that will take your offsite dinner to the next level.
