Dating back to 1834, Hadley’s Orient Hotel is one of Australia’s oldest and most significant hotels, fondly known as the “grand old dame” of Hobart. Today she is a flourishing cultural hub in the city’s heart, preserving a truly unique heritage, highlighting and sharing fascinating tales from Tasmania’s history, and presenting a variety of exceptional art to visitors and locals alike. The property is home to the Hadley’s Art Prize an acquisitive art award building a collection of significant Australian landscape art and was the recipient of the 2022 Tasmanian Tourism Award for Cultural Tourism. Having recently launched Trails of the Terrific Tails, an immersive audio tour covering over 185 years of history, Hadley’s is a unique experience not to be missed.
