SoapAid
MACq 01 has a continued partnership with SoapAid to ensure the continued supply of soap and vital hygiene education to disadvantaged communities in Australia and worldwide. In the past 12 months, 307 kilos of leftover guest soap was collected and sent to SoapAid for reprocessing, resulting in the provision of 3,070 bars of soap supplying 120 children and saving 50 lives according to the World Health Organisation. This has also saved the leftover soap going directly to landfill, saving 0.3 tonnes of carbon going into the atmosphere.
