Salamanca Inn is a 4.5 star, AAA rated all-suite hotel located on the doorstep of the iconic Salamanca Place, on Hobart’s waterfront. Indulge in the historical ambience of this area, lined with plane trees and 1830s sandstone Georgian warehouses converted to Hobart’s best restaurants, cafés, bars, galleries and specialty shops. All of Hobart’s famous landmarks are within a short stroll of the hotel including, historical Sullivans Cove and Battery Point, Salamanca Market (Saturday only), St David’s Park and Parliament House.

Conference

Salamanca Inn has received a new and exciting face lift. The new interior is based on Scandinavian and European design inspired by the owner’s Danish heritage.

Our largest room situated on the ground floor, boasts an entire wall of natural light, the latest in innovative audio-visual equipment, which includes interactive touch and electronic pen 4K data projector and two large Smart 4K TVs. To complete the audio experience, we have designed the room with perforated ceiling and sound insulation throughout to compliment our professional array speakers and system.

Situated on the lower floor, this space boasts an entire wall of natural light, the latest in innovative audio-visual equipment, 85″Smart 4K TV in lieu of data projector.

The Gladstone Room and Salamanca Room have large sliding glass doors that allow the rooms to be used for cocktail parties, dinners, trade shows with access from Gladstone Street.

Eat & Drink

Situated within Salamanca Inn, the restaurant and bar has recently been completely refurbished with a Scandinavian design that pays homage to the owners’ Danish heritage. The rebranded name, Birdsong Restaurant, is a direct translation of the owners’ family name, Fuglsang.

The menu offers modern Australian cuisine, with a focus on fresh Tasmanian produce in a family-friendly environment.
