Terms and Conditions – Game of Skill Competition (Promotion)
1. Introduction
1.1. The Promoter of this competition is Business Events Tasmania, located at 16 Collins Street, Hobart Tasmania (“the Promoter”).
1.2. Participation in the competition is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
2. Eligibility
2.1. Entry is open to Australian residents only and must be aged 18 years or over.
2.2. Employees of the Promoter and their immediate families are not eligible to enter.
2.3. Participants must fully complete the survey and qualifying ‘25 words or less’ question to be eligible in the draw.
2.4. One entry per person is permitted.
3. Competition Period
3.1. The Promotion commences on 01/06/2026 at 7am and ends at 18/06/2026 at 11.59am.
4. How to Enter
4.1. The Promotion is a Game of Skill. All completed survey responses that meet the full terms and conditions will be eligible. You must complete the ‘25 words of less’ question.
4.2. Completed contact details must be provided at the time of entry.
5. Prize
5.1. There is one (1) prize to be won valued at AU$1,000. The prize is one (1) Digital VISA gift card.
5.2. The winner will be published on the Promotors website upon announcement.
6. Winner selection
6.1. The promotion is a game of skill. The winner will be determined based on creativity and literary credit. The judging will be conducted by a panel of judges appointed by the Promoter. The judging will take place at Business Events Tasmania beginning 22/06/2026.
6.2. The winner will be notified within seven business days.
6.3. The Promoter’s decision is final in all aspects of the Promotion, and no correspondence will be entered into.
7. Prize redemption
7.1 The prize is non-transferable or exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for cash.
7.2. If for any reason the winner does not take the prize within one month from announcement, the prize will be forfeited by the winner.
7.3. Redemption of the gift card is subject to the terms and conditions stipulated on the voucher/gift card, and the Promoter will not be liable for any loss or damage.
8. Privacy
8.1. The Promoter collects personal information for the purpose of conducting the Promotion.
8.2. All entries become the property of the Promoter.
8.3. The Promoter will handle personal information in accordance with Australian privacy laws and its own Privacy Policy.
9. General
9.1. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process or who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
9.2. The Promoter is not responsible for any technical malfunctions or failure related to the Promotion.
9.3. The Promoter reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or amend the competition and these Terms and Conditions without notice, subject to relevant state/territory regulations.
9.4. These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Australia, and participants submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.
9.5. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any entries that is not in accordance with these terms and conditions.
10. Limitation of Liability
10.1. The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with the prize except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
