Welcoming people since 1891, Albert Hall combines heritage grandeur with contemporary event facilities beside Launceston’s City Park.
Managed by Theatre North, the venue offers four distinctive spaces for conferences, gala dinners, exhibitions and smaller gatherings. The refurbished Great Hall is complemented by the contemporary Eastern Foyer and two smaller meeting rooms, offering organisers a choice of settings within one historic Launceston venue.
Conference
Centrally located a short walk from Launceston’s CBD and nearby hotels, Albert Hall makes it easy for delegates to move between accommodation, conference sessions and the city’s restaurants and cafés.
The Great Hall accommodates up to 950 delegates in theatre style or 360 guests at round banquet tables, depending on layout. A dedicated stage, flexible floor space and modern audiovisual facilities support plenary sessions, exhibitions, gala dinners and awards nights.
The contemporary Eastern Foyer accommodates up to 250 guests for cocktail receptions and networking. Its direct connection to City Park allows delegates to step outside between sessions.
For smaller meetings and workshops, the Tamar Valley Room offers views across the park’s treetops, while the John Duncan Room provides additional space for presentations and breakouts.
Spaces can be hired individually or combined to suit the event program. Theatre North’s experienced team can assist with technical production, venue operations and event delivery.
