A 40-minute drive north of Hobart and two hours from Launceston sits the Old Kempton Distillery, in the picturesque coaching village of Kempton. Originally the Dysart House Inn, the Old Kempton Cellar Door is adjacent to the distillery – convict-brick stables featuring Tasmanian-made copper stills, Chesterfield lounges and whisky tasting rooms. Gin, vodka, liqueurs and an award-winning single malt whisky are on offer at cellar door, which can accommodate groups of up to 40 guests.
The venue is well suited to meetings, small conferences, cocktail parties and team outings. Onsite catering is available, with guided tours and tastings that can be extended to an in-depth walk through the heritage-listed distillery and bond store, in which delegates may learn the art of single malt whisky production.
Delegate and speaker gift options include Old Kempton Distillery 50ml miniature bottles of Lavender Malt, Embezzler Gin and Single Malt Whisky.
