Hobart Brewing Company is located in a refurbished historic goods shed with a rustic, warm and rugged Tasmanian feel. A flexible venue for offsite corporate events, it is ideally suited to large groups, from casual welcome receptions to more cocktail style conference dinners — and everything in between.
Centrally located within easy walking distance from the Grand Chancellor Hobart, MACq 01, Hobart’s waterfront, CBD hotels and the Salamanca precinct, the Hobart Brewing Company is a venue for those who enjoy an experience that’s a little out of the ordinary.
The Hobart Brewing Company venue has three separate yet interconnected spaces, all of which are available for both exclusive and non-exclusive hire.
The main function area is the brewhouse, otherwise known as the Red Shed. By day, the Red Shed is brewing beer. By night, it transforms into a warm and welcoming congregation space. The industrial character of the shed is offset by ambient lighting and luxurious velvet curtaining. An over¬head heating panel helps keep the space cosy and warm in winter. During the warmer months, the space opens up via an industrial-sized roller door.
Adjacent to the Red Shed is the bar/taproom. Unique in form and construction, the vast concrete bar wraps around an imposing black cool room from which an extensive range of beers are housed and tapped.
The taproom feeds into two exterior areas: the Beer Garden and adjacent Macquarie Point Red Square. With a stunning view of kunanyi/Mount Wellington, the covered Beer Garden is heated by an overhead heater and open fire pits.
